BIG name stars will be flocking to Suffolk to perform next year.

In Ipswich, the Regent Theatre will be welcoming an appearance from former Roxy Music frontman turned soloist Bryan Ferry, while in Felixstowe, Barbara Dickson will be getting a UK tour underway at the Spa Pavilion.

While performing with Roxy Music, Bryan Ferry notched up his with songs such as Jealous Guy and Love Is The Drug.

Since the band split in 1982, he has gone to produce a series of hit albums that has reinterpreted works by other performers and written his own new material too.

His album of songs from the 1930's, As Time Goes By, was released to commercial and critical success in 1999 and was nominated for a Grammy award. Since his solo release Frantic in 2002 Bryan has toured with a reformed Roxy Music and has also performed alone.

He is now also the face of Marks and Spencer in their advertising campaign.

In February, Barbara Dickson will be starting a lengthy UK tour and has today announced she will be making Felixstowe her first stop.

In 2008, Barbara will celebrate 40 years in show business and the singer is famed for her performances on stage and television.

She has appeared in Blood Brothers, Band of Gold and had hit songs with Another Suitcase in Another Hall and I Know Him So Well, which she sang with Elaine Page.

The announcements of their appearances in Suffolk are the latest in a long line of big name performances in the county.

This year alone has seen Ipswich play host to stars such as the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Foo Fighters, while earlier this month saw Tony Christie bring his tour to Felixstowe.

Next year is already shaping up to be another busy year for Suffolk with announcements already made that Portman Road will be hosting a concert by Rod Stewart and chart topping stars like Simon Webbe and G4 will be appearing at the Regent.

Bryan Ferry will be at the Regent Theatre on Monday March 19 and Barbara Dickson will be at the Spa Pavilion on Thursday February 1.
