The Newmarket racecourse horse-drawn carriage is touring our region this week to celebrate The Moët & Chandon July Festival.

The horses were at Giles Circus from 2.30pm to 3.30pm - unfortunately due to lack of space the carriage wasn’t able to come to Ipswich.

The road-show started yesterday, June 26, in Peterborough and then travelled to Cambridge and Chelmsford.

The mini-event was held to promote the popular Adnams July course which will take place at Newmarket Racecourse on July 12-14.

Claire Bourne, who owns the horses, said the tour has been really good.

She said: “It’s been a really good crowd puller and we have had loads of interest and some fantastic prizes have been given away and we have had a lot of positive comeback.”

The tour reaches its final destination tomorrow in Norwich.
