Two stabbed in mass brawl

TWO people were stabbed during a mass brawl outside a pub in Norfolk.Police arrested a 29-year-old man following a violent argument involving a group of 30 people, some armed with weapons, near the Red Hart Public House in Three Holes, Upwell, at about 10.

TWO people were stabbed during a mass brawl outside a pub in Norfolk.

Police arrested a 29-year-old man following a violent argument involving a group of 30 people, some armed with weapons, near the Red Hart Public House in Three Holes, Upwell, at about 10.40pm on Friday, March 14.

One man received a two inch stab wound to the back and the other got a stab wound to the hand and was hit on the knee with a baseball bat. None of the injuries appear to be life threatening.

The offender was arrested for grievous bodily harm and remains in custody helping police with their enquiries.

DS Pete Jessop, King's Lynn CID, said: “Officers conducted a thorough search of the area assisted by a police dog and handler and not only arrested the offender but additionally recovered some of the weapons from the fight. I would also like to thank members of the public who assisted the police during the incident.”
