A 39-year-old woman will appear in court today charged with the murder of her two teenage daughters at a house in Cambridgeshire.Rekha Kumari-Baker, of Stretham, will appear before magistrates in Peterborough accused of killing Davina Baker, 16, and Jasmine Baker, 13, a police spokeswoman said.

Rekha Kumari-Baker, of Stretham, will appear before magistrates in Peterborough accused of killing Davina Baker, 16, and Jasmine Baker, 13, a police spokeswoman said.

The girls were found dead at Kumari-Baker's home early on Wednesday.

Post-mortem tests showed that both had suffered multiple stab wounds and police said they had seized a "number of items" while searching for a murder weapon.

Also today, a man will appear before Norwich magistrates charged with the murder of 37-year-old Jim Cushing of Harris Mews Bowthorpe who was stabbed to death after trying to calm a row in a street.

David Stubbs, 52 also of Harris Mews was arrested following the incident on Wednesday and was charged last night.

He is also charged with grievous bodily harm with intent to 36-year-old Ian Burgess who was attacked in the same incident.
