TWO people needed treatment today after a fire spread through the kitchen of an Ipswich flat.
TWO people needed treatment today after a fire spread through the kitchen of an Ipswich flat.
Three fire crews were called to tackle the blaze in the first floor flat in Limerick Close just before 7.30pm.
The flat was heavily smoke logged when the firefighters arrived. They found two people inside and led them to safety before giving them first aid.
Ambulance officers assisted with their treatment and one of the occupants was taken to Ipswich Hospital for further treatment. The seriousness of their condition was not initially known.
The fire was brought under control just after 7.45pm.
