UK: Evening Star astrologer and Strictly star Russell Grant has got through another week of the hit BBC dance show.

Comedian and impersonator Rory Bremner failed to make a good impression and was voted out of the Strictly Come Dancing contest last night.

Rory and his partner Erin Boag found themselves at the bottom of the leaderboard against Nancy Dell’Olio and Anton Du Beke - who were there for the second week in a row - in last night’s show.

Meanwhile Russell and his partner Flavia Cacace danced a tango to The Eurythmics’ Sweet Dreams, and scored a respectable 24 points. Thanks to public support, they will be performing again next week.

Rory’s Cha Cha Cha to the song Dance to the Music, was described by judge Bruno Tonioli as a “cocky rooster chasing a hen around the yard”.

The 50-year-old managed to stay buoyant despite his exit from the BBC1 show, saying: “Well, a close second was shimmying next to John Prescott in the Quickstep, I loved that - it was just the best dance of my life.”

Next week, the remaining 11 couples will be expected to bewitch the judges and public with a Halloween-themed evening.
