A top professor in networking will be giving an open lecture on social mobility at the University of Suffolk on Thursday.
Honorary visiting professor Julia Hobsbawm will be at the Waterfront Building from 6pm on Thursday, discussing social health, time management, developing social networks and the use of IT in social ties.
The lecture will be Professor Hobsbawm’s first as an honorary visiting professor with the university’s business school, and follows the publication of her latest book on the issue.
Professor David Collins, head of the Suffolk Business School, said: “We are delighted to welcome Professor Hobsbawm to the University of Suffolk.”
He added: “We are sure this open lecture will be popular with our students, local businesses and the wider community.”
The event is free, with booking in advance online at the university website here.
