Commuters faced delays on the A14 near Felixstowe this morning after a lorry broke down close to a major roundabout.
Police closed two lanes on the A14 eastbound near the Dock Spur roundabout after a lorry broke down in the middle of the dual carriageway at around 5.10am.
Lane one remained open while officers waited for recovery of the vehicle, initially expected to take place at 6.30am, a Suffolk Constabulary spokesman said.
But long delays were reported before the lorry was taken off the road at 7.35am, the force spokesman said.
All lanes reopened soon after.
