A two-vehicle crash caused disruption in Landseer Road for around two hours today.
A Renault Clio and a Mercedes E220 were involved in a collision in Sandy Hill Lane at the junction with Landseer Road at 11.35am.
Three fire engines were called to the scene and firefighters freed one of the drivers, a man aged 33, who was trapped in the one vehicles. None of the emergency services involved were able to clarify which vehicle.
The man was assessed by paramedics at the scene but did not need hospital treatment, an East of England Ambulance Service Trust spokesman said. He added that the man suffered arm and wrist injuries.
Police directed traffic at the scene before reopening the road at 1.30pm after the vehicles had been recovered.
