A man has been charged after an Ipswich police station was forced to close because of criminal damage.
At around 6pm last night a man entered the station in Museum Street and smashed the glass partition between the staff and public area. Damage was caused to two glass panels in reception.
The station was closed until earlier this afternoon while repair work was carried out.
Brett Cayzer, 52, of no fixed abode, was arrested on suspicion of causing criminal damage.
He has since been charged and is due to appear at South East Suffolk Magistrates’ Court on November 24. He has been released on conditional bail.
