Train services between Ipswich and Felixstowe were cancelled on Friday night due to a signalling fault.
Services were suspended from around 8pm to 10pm after a fault with the signalling system between Derby Road and Trimley blocked all lines.
Replacement bus services were in operation during the disruption.
A spokesman for Abellio Greater Anglia said: “Disruption to Ipswich-Felixstowe trains has now ended.”
