A KEEN cyclist lost some of his prize possessions when thieves burgled his house and took three racing bikes valued at �3,000.

A KEEN cyclist lost some of his prize possessions when thieves burgled his house and took three racing bikes valued at �3,000.

The cycles were taken when thieves broke into the garage of his home in Valley Road, Ipswich, between 2.30am and 10am on Saturday.

The most valuable bike stolen was a man's mint green Bianchi Ultegra Compact racing cycle, valued at �2,000.

A man's black/grey Genesis Ridgeback racing cycle and grey Carrera Subway racing bike, worth �600 and �400 respectively, were also taken.

Police are investigating the case with the hope of recovering the stolen equipment.

Police have linked the burglary to another incident on Valley Road on the same night, where thieves entered a front garden and stole a glass bottle of orange juice from the doorstep.
