The A14 westbound has been reopened following a van fire between Copdock and Sproughton this afternoon.
The fire, involving a white Ford Transit van, was reported to emergency services at around 3.45pm this afternoon.
Police said two men managed to get out of the vehicle but may have suffered smoke inhalation.
The incident took place between Copdock and Sproughton westbound on the A14.
The westbound carriageway was been closed while recovery of the vehicle took place causing disruption to traffic in the area.
Firefighters had extinguished the fire and called a stop on the incident at around 4.15pm.
A spokesman for Suffolk police has since confirmed the carriageway has reopened.
