Forecasters have said the next few days will now be more unpredictable with an increasing risk of rain from Friday.
Although Britain is unlikely to suffer much from the after-effects of the tropical storm which is currently battering the Caribbean Islands, warm air coming from that area is likely to make the weather more changeable.
Phil Garner, a forecaster at Weatherquest, said: “There is nothing in the way of horrendous storms or anything like that, it is just a case of showers and being a bit breezy.
“I think it will be with us for 10-12 days and then it will settle back down again.”
This morning’s downpours led to some minor flooding on the county’s road and some minor accidents.
