THE Witches of Eastwick are coming to the Ipswich Regent tomorrow night.

Set in the tiny New England town of Eastwick, Rhode Island, the play follows three modern day witches innocently plotting over a heady brew of weak martinis and peanut butter brownies.
But when Daryl von Horne arrives, all hell breaks loose.
The multi awarding-winning Ipswich Operatic and Dramatic Society will be bringing the smash hit musical to the stage at the Ipswich Regent for a four-night run and at the weekend, the lead actors were trying out their wings for the first time.
Digital trainee Max Geater joined witches Amanda Langley and Lesley Rawlinson to find out what it is like to fly.
Appropriately dressed in a Super Man tee-shirt, he was kitted out with a safety harness and hoisted above the stage.
Max said: “Seeing the Regent backstage was a new experience, I have seen so many shows there but never had the chance to step up myself.

“When I was flying over the stage everything seemed so small and it was one of the only times I have able to look down on my towering dad.
“I felt safe, yet free flying in the theatre and it was a strangely relaxing experience. It was a feeling I had never experienced before.”
