A funky flash mob of boldly dressed singers surprised shoppers this weekend with a set of harmonised ballads.
From Michael Jackson to Pharrell Williams, Funky Voices entertained the crowd with its Saturday morning performance in TK Maxx in Ipswich Buttermarket Shopping Centre in aid of Comic Relief.
Musical director, Sandra Colston said: “It’s great, people are shocked and they watch and it really helps collect a lot of money for charity.”
TK Maxx organised the performance as part of its dance-a-thon week to raise money the charity.
Assistant manager and Comic Relief champion, Sue Bergdahl said she had been telling customers all week that there would be a surprise in the shop on Saturday.
“It was absolutely brilliant,” she added. “Better than I expected and I will definitely have them back again.”
Ipswich was the first stop on a weekend tour for Funky Voices, with performances in Chelmsford and Brentwood to follow.
