We've all had a dampener that threatens to ruin the day!
But here's a real sickener that made striker Danny Nardiello look to the skies in disbelief.
Heavy rain fell throughout Bury's Divison 2 home game against Notts County last weekend … and a puddle intervened when the Lancashire striker fired in a shot that beat keeper Kasper Schmeichel.
The ball would have hit the net on any other day - but Schmeichel (whose dad Peter was the inspiration for the name of a great dane doggy star in Coronation Street) was able to gleefully retrieve the ball from the water!
Poor Danny - it would have been his second goal of the day. The match ended 3-3.
