ONE Suffolk dancer has been rubbing shoulders with the famous on the dance floor.

Paul Berry has already performed in pantomimes, on the West End stage and graced the same dancefloor as Michael Jackson.

But now he can add performing with pop superstar Beyonce to his long list.

Mr Berry, originally from Woodbridge but who now lives in Los Angeles, took to a Hollywood stage dressed up as a SWAT team member, as he danced with the American singer at the Grammy's and said it had been a “truly crazy and unforgettable experience.”

Dressed head to toe in black armour, goggles and a helmet, Mr Berry stomped on stage led by Beyonce for the performance of her hit single If I Were a Boy on a night when the R&B diva won a record six gongs.

He said: “On stage it was pretty amazing, being there with Beyonce and looking out and seeing people like Jay-Z, Rihanna, L L Cool J, Sheryl Crow, The Black Eyed Peas, Jennifer Lopez, to name but a few.

“We then left the stage and made our way into the main aisle to form two lines for Beyonce to walk through, this was completely surreal because I was now in the middle of all these huge stars and they were all watching us.

“She [Beyonce] got a standing ovation, and rightly so, it was such an electric feeling, such an incredible moment.”

After meeting Beyonce during rehearsals and performing alongside her on one of the biggest nights of her career Mr Berry said she had been “amazing”.

It was not the first time the former Farlingaye High School student has performed with one of the world's greatest stars.

In 1999 he danced alongside the King of Pop, Michael Jackson, in 'The Michael Jackson and Friends Concerts' in Seoul, Korea and Munich in Germany.
