THIS dramatic footage shows the life-saving dash to save a three-year-old girl after a boxed-up pool table fell on her at home.
Neighbours watched as an air ambulance crew landed skillfully on a green in Kingsland, before the toddler was stretchered from her home in The Street after the accident around 1.15pm on Wednesday.
A resident captured the moment the helicopter took off from the small patch of grass before flying the young girl to Ipswich Hospital.
Mike Williams, 67, of The Street, Shotley grabbed his camcorder and caught the rescue on camera.
The young girl was yesterday recovering at home.
Rebecca Gough, a spokeswoman for the East Anglian Air Ambulance, said: “The pool table, which was in a flat-packed box, had fallen on the girl trapping her head on the floor.
“A land ambulance crew and PR vehicle were already on scene, but the air ambulance was also tasked because a head injury was suspected.
“The little girl was immobilised and transported by air to Ipswich Hospital. They also flew her mother so that she could stay with her daughter throughout.”
