The 20-year-old of Parham woke to find her blue Fiat Punto upended on its bonnet after an accident involving a tractor on a narrow country road.

This dramatic picture was taken by her boyfriend Adrian Smith outside his rented property in Snape Road, Tunstall, near Woodbridge.

The accident involving a tractor and two cars occurred at about 7.15am on Sunday and woke many villagers. The two cars were parked in a lay-by beside the road to Snape, close to the junction with Orford Road, when the accident took place.

Miss Rogers, 20, of Parham, said: “I heard a pretty loud noise but did not think anything of it.

“But my boyfriend had to get up to go to work and he said there had been an accident. I walked out of the front door and I saw my car balancing on its headlights - what a shock to have on a Sunday morning.”

Mr Smith, who works at Sink Farm, Eyke, was one of many people to take a photograph of the scene.

A neighbour, who declined to be named, said ten farm workers came to the scene and cleared up after damage to a garden wall.

She has lived in Tunstall for eight years and she said a 20mph speed limit was required due to the narrowness of the road approaching the junction.

She added: “What happened to the wall is a mess but that can be cleared up and the main thing is that no-one was hurt.

n. Adam Row, 19, from Hollesley will appear before magistrates in Ipswich on June 23 in connection with the accident and has been charged with fraud, driving without due care and attention, driving without insurance and driving while disqualified.
