VILLAGERS have today snubbed the Queen – in favour of a man who was at the heart of their community for decades.
Residents in the twin Trimleys were proposing to name a road in honour of the Her Majesty's Golden Jubilee celebrations.
But now they have decided to abandon the idea, and instead have decided to call it Howlett Way, as a
tribute to local historian Ray Howlett, who lived all his life in the villages and was devoted to them.
