A 60-YEAR-OLD inmate, who is considered violent, is being hunted by police after absconding from a Suffolk prison.James Arthur Yardley, who was sentenced in April 2001 to six-and-a-half years for false imprisonment, absconded from Hollesley Bay open unit between 7 and 8.
A 60-YEAR-OLD inmate, who is considered violent, is being hunted by police after absconding from a Suffolk prison.
James Arthur Yardley, who was sentenced in April 2001 to six-and-a-half years for false imprisonment, absconded from Hollesley Bay open unit between 7 and 8.30am on Monday morning.
Yardley is described as white, 5ft 6ins tall, of normal build with grey hair, brown eyes and tattoos on his right shoulder and left forearm.
It is believed he may be wearing a brown leather coat.
He has connections in north Essex and it is thought he may head for this area.
Anyone who thinks they may have seen Yardley, who is considered violent, is asked to call the police at Woodbridge station on 01473 613500.
Police are warning the public not to approach him, but alert police immediately by dialling 999.
