HOTTER weather has triggered a spate of minor countryside fires in Suffolk.
Fire fighters were called to 25 square metres of gorse alight at the back of Broomfield Road at Martlesham Heath at 9.30 pm yesterday.
An hour earlier crews doused nearly an acre of gorse and undergrowth on fire at Knoddishall Common.
Earlier at 5.30pm a crew from Holbrook was called to tackle an area of undergrowth ablaze at Shotley Marina.
