The three men knocked at the door of the woman, who lives in Mill Lane, just after 5.35pm yesterday and when she opened the door they walked straight in.
Suffolk Police said one of the men then walked with the woman into her kitchen while the other two searched through the belongings in her bedroom.
It is not known at this stage whether anything was stolen.
One of the men involved is described as very tall and he had “bushy stubble” on his face. He was wearing a blue boiler suit.
Anyone with information should call Suffolk Police on 01473 613500 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
