SEARCH and rescue teams from Wattisham were scrambled after a RAF Tornado crashed at Holbeach Range on the Lincolnshire coast today.The Tornado GR4 from RAF Marham in Norfolk was on a training mission when it crashed into The Wash about 11am.
SEARCH and rescue teams from Wattisham were scrambled after a RAF Tornado crashed at Holbeach Range on the Lincolnshire coast today.
The Tornado GR4 from RAF Marham in Norfolk was on a training mission when it crashed into The Wash about 11am.
The two crew members ejected from the aircraft and were rescued by Sea King helicopters from RAF Wattisham and Leconfield.
Both were airlifted to hospital in King's Lynn suffering from spinal injuries which were not thought to be life-threatening.
