DISRUPTIONS have been caused to waste collections in the Babergh and Mid Suffolk areas due to the bad weather.

To help clear the bins that have been missed, spare vehicles are being put out in the hope of catching up on collections.

The message to all residents is leave your bin out and they will attempt to return as soon as possible.

In Mid Suffolk, scheduled refuse collections will take place as normal. It is hoped that spare vehicles will be used to catch up the recycling for those residents who will not have had a collection.

Garden waste, bin deliveries, bulky collections and trade collections will go ahead as normal and attempts will be made to catch up on waste missed. Clinical collections will also be made as normal.

In Babergh recycling collections planned for today and tomorrowwill be postponed to enable the crews to catch up the refuse collections that were abandoned last week. Recycling collections should start on Wednesdaywith crews catching up with the Monday and Tuesday collections first. They will also be working on Saturdayto clear any missed bins.

Garden waste round, bin deliveries, bulky collections, trade collections and clinical collections will go ahead as normal.
