Forecasters are warning that more rain is set to fall on Suffolk today with the chance of thunder later on.
The torrential downpours overnight forced organisers of the Summer Indian Mela to cancel the planned celebration this afternoon.
Phil Garner, a forecaster at Weatherquest, said the rain is expected to continue for most of the day, but it is hoped this evening will be drier.
Mr Garner added: “There will be more of the same today with showers and there is still the chance of a rumble of thunder.
“It should fade away this evening with dry conditions tonight.”
