Wetherden house fire - two in hospital

TWO people were taken to hospital after escaping from a house fire in Wetherden, near Stowmarket.

Fire services were called to the house in School Meadow at 1.

TWO people were taken to hospital after escaping from a house fire in Wetherden, near Stowmarket.

Fire services were called to the house in School Meadow at 1.13am today to find the two occupants outside the property.

Both were suffering from the effects of smoke inhalation and one also had burns.

The fire was confined to a bedroom and was put out at 1.53am.
