When it comes to teaching road safety to children, clowns teaching in song may not be the first thing that comes to mind, but that is exactly how Rose Hill Primary School made such an important subject a little more interesting.
In 1979, the children of Rose Hill Primary School had two special visitors leading an assembly, bringing instruments with them to teach the rules of road safety in a unique way.
Many of the children were involved with the clowns’ assembly, holding cards to help deliver the important message on road and traffic safety.
It seems, however, that not all of the children appreciated the clowns efforts. As you can see in some of the pictures, their reactions may not have been what the clowns were hoping for.
