POLICE in Stowmarket are appealing for witnesses to help identify aman who threatened a group of men with what is believed to be a shotgun.The group of friends had been at a night club in the town and were outin Ipswich Street when an altercation developed.

POLICE in Stowmarket are appealing for witnesses to help identify a

man who threatened a group of men with what is believed to be a shotgun.

The group of friends had been at a night club in the town and were out

in Ipswich Street when an altercation developed.

Words were exchanged between the group, the offender and a woman who was accompanying him.

The offender left, but returned a short time later and produced the

gun and threatened the group with it. The gun is believed to be a single-barrelled 4.10 shotgun.

The incident happened between 2.50am and 3.20am in the early hours of

November 8.

The offender is white, aged about 30 years old, of average height has short brown spiky hair. At the time of the incident he was clean-shaven and wearing a long sleeved dark shirt.

A polcie spokeswoman said : "He is described as looking like a 'typical boy band member.'"

The woman with the offender is white, aged about 30 years old,

of average build, with long blond hair and at the time of the

incident was wearing dark leather trousers. Her name may be Lorraine.
