POLICE are appealing for witnesses after two possible accosting incidents in Felixstowe.

One incident happened around 4.45pm on Friday January 23 as an 11-year-old girl was walking along Highfield Road heading towards Orwell Road when she became aware of car pulling up next to her.

The front window was opened and the man inside the vehicle - described as white with thick eyebrows and stubble on his face - spoke to her.

The girl ignored him and continued walking and the black car with a silver stripe on the side continued driving alongside her for a short time before the girl turned around and ran home.

The second incident occurred around 8pm last night in Manning Road.

Two teenagers were walking along the road and a man in a black car beeped at them.

His behaviour worried them and the incident was reported to police a short time later.

Police are asking either of the men involved to come forward, and officers would also like to hear from anyone who may have been in these areas around these times and saw the incidents.

Anyone with information should call Felixstowe officers on 01473 613500.
