AN elderly woman has been airlifted to hospital today after falling ill on a cruise ship.
AN elderly woman has been airlifted to hospital today after falling ill on a cruise ship.
The woman was reported to have suffered heart problems while onboard the Saga Rose ship which was just off the coast of Harwich.
Coastguards received a call from the ship around 1.30am and the RAF rescue helicopter, based at Wattisham, was dispatched.
The woman arrived at Ipswich Hospital by 4.30am. Her condition is not yet known.
