A WOMAN is recovering today after a bizarre indecent assault in her front room involving a tattooed, pierced intruder who claimed to be a stripogram.

The attack took place shortly before 1pm on Tuesday when the man, described as round-faced with extremely short dark hair, forced his way into the woman's Lawford home when she opened the door.

The well-built man made the woman sit in a chair while he removed his clothes, revealing a myriad of large tattoos and several piercings.

He then attempted to force the woman onto him for several minutes, before leaving the house and driving off in a dark car.

The married woman, who is her late 50s, was last night still recovering from shock.

Anybody with any information regarding the attack is asked to contact detectives at Clacton Police on 01255 221312.
