AN ESSEX woman arrested after the death of a young girl who died in a Boxing Day quad bike accident has been bailed.

AN ESSEX woman arrested after the death of a young girl who died in a Boxing Day quad bike accident has been bailed.

The 28-year-old, from the Brentwood area, had been arrested on suspicion of driving a mechanically propelled vehicle without due care and attention.

She was released without charge in relation to an allegation of causing death by careless driving while unfit through drink or drugs.

Police said they were making further inquiries to examine the culpability of all parties involved.

Elizabeth Cooke, seven, died after the quad bike she had been bought as a Christmas present was in a head-on collision with a Range Rover in the village of Blackmore, near Chelmsford.
