A COUNCIL worker is trying to overcome an unusual fear before her marriage - she is terrified of KNEES.
Sarah Lister is left panicked and flustered at the mere sight or touch of anyone's kneecaps, a condition known as Genuphobia.
It has left her terrified of trips to the beach, games of football or nights out.
The 25-year-old's fear was born 14 years ago when she saw her father dislocate his knee after a freak fall at their home.
Since the incident, she has tried a cocktail of treatments, including hypnotherapy, to help ease her panic.
Her condition has eased over the years and Sarah, of Gosport, now hopes she can kick her strange fear ahead of wedding to fianc Chris Bayliss in May next year.
