A WOMAN died today after she was the victim of a savage night-time attack in Ipswich.The 25-year-old victim was found unconscious in an alleyway off Alderman Road just after 1.20am. Her death later today is being treated by police as murder.

The 25-year-old victim was found unconscious in an alleyway off Alderman Road just after 1.20am. She died later today in Ipswich Hospital.
A post-mortem examination was due to take place to determine the exact cause of her death, but police are treating it as murder.
A 21-year-old man has been arrested and was being interviewed at Ipswich police station.
Anyone who was in the Alderman Road area of Ipswich in the early hours this morning is asked to call the police incident room on 01473 383133. They may have vital information which could help the police inquiry.
