A WOMAN escaped with only cuts and bruises today after her car overturned on a Suffolk road.
The woman was driving a Renault Clio along the A1071 near Boxford when the vehicle ended up on its roof outside the Brewer's Arms pub at around 8.30am.
One lane was blocked while emergency services dealt with the crash scene. Firefighters were sent to help the woman from the vehicle, but she had managed to free herself by the time they arrived.
A spokeswoman for Suffolk police described the driver as “walking wounded” but could not confirm whether she was taken to hospital.
