The incident left a woman with back injuries after the black Mitsubishi car in which she was travelling was in collision with a white truck in Hawes Street at around 7.30am.
The road was closed while emergency services dealt with the scene at the roundabout near the Ip-City centre.
Firefighters cut the woman from the vehicle and she was placed on a spinal board by paramedics before being taken to Ipswich Hospital.
The incident caused delays of around 15 minutes in the area as diversions were put in place along Station Street.
In the ensuing mayhem, a car transporter was then in collision with a car at the roundabout where the previous incident had occurred.

No-one was injured, but the female driver of the Peugeot 206 was reportedly in tears following the prang.
