Ambulances were called at 6.05pm yesterday afternoon to Renfrew Road where the woman had suffered a serious head injury.

A woman in her 60s was taken to hospital after suffering a serious fall in Rushmere St Andrews last night.

Two ambulances and an air ambulance were called to the scene.

A paramedic from Suffolk Accident Rescue Service (SARS) also attended the scene.

A spokesperson for the East of England Air Ambulance said that the woman had then been taken to Ipswich Hospital by land ambulance.

A SARS spokesperson said: “A volunteer critical care paramedic from SARS was mobilised to attend a patient who had suffered a serious fall yesterday evening.”
