A WOMAN who grew her fingernails to a world-record 28 feet has lost her huge talons in a car crash.

Great-grandmother Lee Redmond, 68, now has just 4.5 inches of her nails left after the crash.

It took her 30 years to grow her nails, and she described the crash as the 'most dramatic event in her life.'

Ms Redmond, of Salt Lake City in the USA, who once turned down a 60,000 offer to cut her nails, has ruled out trying to grow them back.
