A 20-YEAR-OLD woman has been warned that she could be sent to a detention centre when she is sentenced next month for attacking another woman in an Ipswich nightclub.
Zoe Smith, of Downside Close, Ipswich, set upon Amber Arnold as she came out of a toilet cubicle at Kartouche Nightclub, butting her in the face and biting her arms, Ipswich Crown Court heard.
Smith denied assaulting Miss Arnold causing her actual bodily harm but was found guilty by a jury. Smith claimed Miss Arnold, who she had known at school had lost her temper and struck her.
The case was adjourned for a pre sentence report and recorder Nicholas Hamblen warned Smith that she could face a custodial sentence.
