Woman routs burglar

A BURGLAR fled an elderly woman's home after she shouted at him when she found him in her living room.

The woman discovered the man in her Defoe Road home after hearing a noise at around 11.

A BURGLAR fled an elderly woman's home after she shouted at him when she found him in her living room.

The woman discovered the man in her Defoe Road home after hearing a noise at around 11.25pm on Tuesday, May 13.

She discovered the intruder in her living room and when she shouted at him he left.

A quantity of personal items including jewellery was taken.
