SUFFOLK police today launched an investigation after a woman's body was found on a beach.
A council worker found the body partially in the sea at Aldeburgh.
The area around Fort Green was sealed off and police have been carrying out an initial investigation.
Police are treating the death as unexplained and the coroner has been informed.
A post mortem examination is expected to be held later today – after which police should know whether there is anything suspicious about the death.
