Woman stabbed outside Suffolk pub

A WOMAN is recovering today after being stabbed outside the Cromwell Arms public house in Lakenheath on Saturday night.

At around 10.45pm a fight involving around 10 people broke out inside the premises and then spilled out onto the road outside.

At around 10.45pm a fight involving around 10 people broke out inside the premises and then spilled out onto the road outside.

During the incident a 29-year-old woman sustained a stab wound to the arm and was taken to West Suffolk Hospital but was released after treatment.

Police are also appealing for witnesses to a hit and run road traffic accident that is believed to have occurred a short while later in the High Street, Lakenheath. The vehicle that is thought to have been involved – a Ford Fiesta – was later found burnt out outside the West Row Stadium.
