A woman in her 60s was taken to hospital after a motorcycle was involved in a collision with a pedestrian on the Bramford Road in Ipswich this evening.

The incident happened around 6pm with police and the East of England Ambulance Service attending along with the Suffolk Accident Rescue Service (SARS).

The woman suffered a head injury and was treated by a critical care paramedic from SARS.

She was later taken to Ipswich Hospital by land ambulance. The motorcyclist was believed to be uninjured.
