THE A12 at Blythburgh was closed by police tonight after a single vehicle crash which saw a woman taken to hospital with “substantial injuries” after being cut free from her car.
THE A12 at Blythburgh was closed by police tonight after a single vehicle crash which saw a woman taken to hospital with “substantial injuries” after being cut free from her car.
The accident happened at just before 9pm. The female driver of a blue Ford Sierra had to be freed by fire crews from Southwold, Lowestoft and Wrentham.
She was taken to James Paget Hospital in Gorleston for treatment. A Suffolk police spokesman said that her injuries were “substantial”, but not thought to be life threatening.
The road re-opened at 10.30pm.
