DETECTIVES are today searching for a teenager who tried to steal a handbag from a 72-year-old in Grundisburgh.The woman was walking in Post Mill Gardens at 3pm yesterday when a man grabbed her bag and tried to pull it from her grasp.
DETECTIVES are today searching for a teenager who tried to steal a handbag from a 72-year-old in Grundisburgh.
The woman was walking in Post Mill Gardens at 3pm yesterday when a man grabbed her bag and tried to pull it from her grasp.
After the woman screamed and refused to let go, the man ran away towards Rose Hill.
The offender is described as white, in his mid teens, with light coloured hair and of average build. He was wearing a three quarter length grey jacket.
Police officers are particularly keen to trace two women seen walking in Rose Hill and two youths seen on motorbikes in the area, both at the time of the attempted robbery.
