One lucky winner and their family will win a luxury holiday if they manage to find all 39 swine in this year’s Pigs Gone Wild challenge.

This summer will see decorated porkers placed around the town and Waterfront for families to find, with each containing a QR code to be scanned with the Pigs Gone Wild app.

Those who manage to find all of the creatures will be entered into a draw to win a stay at the 15th Century Woodfarm House holiday cottage near Stonham Aspal.

Norman Lloyd, Pigs Gone Wild project manager, said: “We are really chuffed that Woodfarm Barns has supported the art trail in this way by donating the main app prize.

“A stay in the luxurious, seven-bed Woodfarm House is up for grabs, which will undoubtedly be a great incentive to get people downloading the Pigs Gone Wild app and to make sure they visit all the pigs along the trail.”

The project has become a family favourite where schools each decorate a pig to a special theme, and local firms sponsor and donate prizes, as well as helping support St Elizabeth Hospice.

Carl Scott, of Woodfarm Barns, said: “This is a fantastic project so we were really keen to get involved.

“The prize will offer the winning family a lovely break in our flagship holiday cottage.

“We wanted to help get as many people as possible to complete the trail and see what Suffolk has to offer.

“Most importantly, though, we wanted to get involved to support St Elizabeth Hospice and all the amazing work they do for local people.”

A trail map will be provided by the hospice for those unable to access the app, with the completed map able to be posted.

At the end of the 10-week summer project, the sculptures will be auctioned off to raise money for the hospice, helping provide care for those living with progressive illnesses.
