HIGH street giant Woolworths is reportedly in talks over the possible sale of its retail business for £1.
A national newspaper has claimed that the business is in discussions with Hilco about the move.
The retailer, which has been a familiar sight on UK high streets for nearly 100 years, has more than 800 stores but has been battered by competition from supermarkets and internet retailers.
