The Great East Run is taking place in Ipswich this Sunday, September 24 – we asked people in Ipswich what they thought of the race.
The Great East Run is set to bring approximately 3,000 people running through the streets of Ipswich.
The race starts at 10am on Russell Road, between Endeavour House and Grafton House.
It then continues around the town centre before going through Holywells Park and onto the Waterfront.
The route then progresses along Wherstead Road and out along the Strand, under the iconic Orwell Bridge into Freston.
When the runners are back in Ipswich they will go along Grafton Way, Princes Street and Portman Road finishing the race in the grounds of Ipswich Town Football club.
To accommodate the event a number of road closures and traffic diversions will need to be in place, take a look at our list.
